National Disability Insurance Scheme – School Leaver Employment Supports

School Leaver Employment Supports creates a supported pathway for school leavers into employment by developing opportunities that build skills and experiences that will lead to meaningful employment and community participation. School Leaver Employment Supports is available for eligible school leavers with a disability under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

MAX Solutions is a registered NDIS provider with local knowledge and expertise in supporting people to prepare for work. Our consultants take the time to get to know the individual participant, assist them to gain confidence and work skills, and prepare them to find an appropriate job that they enjoy.

MAX Solutions builds an individualised schedule of activities in conjunction with the participant to assist them with their work readiness. They are at the centre of our service, with full choice and control over how they progress towards their goals.

MAX Solutions School Leaver Employment Supports assists eligible participants with building skills such as:

  • Developing and refining their individual career aspirations
  • Confidence building through improved skills or practising real-world scenarios
  • Written and verbal communication
  • Appropriate workplace presentation and behaviour
  • Time management
  • Financial literacy
  • Travel training
  • Employment skills such as understanding Workplace Health and Safety
  • Resume writing skills
  • Sourcing safe work experience that is relevant to individual goals and interests

MAX Solutions can support participants while they undertake work experience. This includes working closely with the participant and employer to ensure the participant understands the role and completes required tasks correctly. We assess progression of general employment and industry-specific skills and discuss with the participant whether further skill building is necessary to ensure they’re confident in the role.

In addition, our registered health professionals can work alongside the participant and their family to evaluate appropriate job roles and the most suitable work environment for them.

Please contact us for further information. We can arrange a face-to-face meeting or a video conference at a time suitable for you.
