I teach meditation methods, from beginner to advanced. My mission has always been to bring meditation and mindfulness out of the monasteries and meditation centers, to teach it as a practical skill, that people can use in the course of everyday life.

To that end, I teach personalised classes, and I’ve written three books about meditation:

  1. ‘Happy to Burn’ – published 1994 – Lothian Books, Melbourne.
  2. ‘Love & Imagination’ – written as a manual for my course
  3. ‘Being Still (Meditation That Makes Sense)’ – a revised course manual

All in all I’ve spent a large part of the last 25 years training in Vipassana meditation methods at four separate meditation centers and monasteries:

1991 – 1996 – Sorn Thawee Meditation Centre – Chacheongsao, Thailand – Teacher – Acharn Thawee Baladhammo

1997 – 2002 – Wat Thung Samakkhi Tham, Suphanburi, Thailand – Teacher – Luang Pu SangWan

2002 – 2008 – Ban Sawang Jai, Kao Yai National Park, Thailand – Teacher – Acharn Tippakorn

2009-2017 – Kanduboda Meditation Centre, Sri Lanka – Teacher – The Venerable Pemasiri

I’ve taught meditation and led meditation seminars and retreats throughout Australia and in Bali. I’ve also recorded the entire 12 hours of my meditation course and made it available for download from my blog – www.meditationmakesense.com
