O-health

Services offered

  • Allied Health

My name is Jas and I am the Exercise Physiologist at O-health in Albury.

Originally from Tallangatta, I have been working in Queensland providing Exercise Physiology services to predominantly NDIS clientele. I am now back in Albury/Wodonga and passionate about expanding the health services available to border residents, and in particular improving health and wellness through exercise and education.
To do this, O-health is now offering Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, Osteopathy and Strength and Conditioning services to NDIS participants as an unregistered provider.

In O-health’s new purpose built facility on Mate Street, we are disability friendly and due to our multidisciplinary team, are well equipped to support a wide range of individuals.

As Exercise Physiology is a newer area of allied health, I just want to give a quick rundown of who we are and what we do.

Exercise Physiologists are university qualified allied health professionals who use exercise as medicine. We specialise in delivering safe and effective exercise interventions for people with chronic conditions, injuries and disabilities. The aim of our interventions is to prevent or manage chronic disease or injury, and assist in restoring optimal physical function, health or wellness.

We see a large variety of patients, of ALL ages including but not limited too:

  • Cardiovascular conditions
  • Kidney conditions
  • Mental Health
  • Musculoskeletal injuries
  • Neurological conditions
  • Respiratory/Pulmonary conditions
  • Individuals with intellectual disabilities

Another large role Exercise Physiologists play is in providing health and physical activity education, advice and support for lifestyle modification, and we have a strong focus on achieving behavioral change. To do this to the highest standard, we are excited to be offering in-clinic appointments utilising our active spaces, as well as warm water exercise sessions.

If you would like to find out more, or if you have a client who would benefit from seeing a practitioner at O-health, please get in touch and we would be happy to discuss in further depth.
