CRANK – No Barriers!

We’re a NDIS registered organisation that supports non-traditional jobseekers and employers to connect and grow.

Our mission is to reinvent the way people with diverse abilities and backgrounds use technology to overcome barriers and vulnerabilities to achieve positive interest-based career, education and life outcomes.

We currently champion our Careers Discovery Program, where our Crew are supported along a journey using the hook of gaming, tech and eSports competitions to open their minds to tech-based careers, building relevant career skills and develop confidence and meaningful connections. Our CRANK Coaches work closely with our Crew through an individually designed mix of 1:1 coaching, interactive group engagement and STA experiences covering an extensive range of career opportunities, including:

–             Cybersecurity

–             Computer Network & System Engineer

–             Graphic Design

–             Quality and Testing

–             Writing and Editing

–             Game Development

–             Software Development

–             Hardware and Technology

Once each Crew member identifies a pathway that they enjoy, they will be supported to complete a Certificate III/IV level qualification from one of our education partners as they define and refine the skills that best position themselves for a career opportunity in their chosen pathway.

As our Crew continue their journey through the Career Discovery Program in pathways of their choices, our employer partners will continue to work closely with CRANK to provide relevant and open employment opportunities to our Crew as they become ready to take their next challenge. Our CRANK Coaches work closely with our Crew during these transitions to support them in maintaining their employment as well as supporting their overall everyday with independent living skills.

The Career Discovery Program is a 48 week program for eligible NDIS participants who are interested in career, further study or life skill outcomes in the tech space.

This is a natural fit for SLES (School Leavers Employment Support) participants and those who have funding in Core and Capacity Building. We can offer flexible solutions to suit your budget and needs.

For those who are wanting to dip their toes into CRANK before taking the deep dive into Career Discovery Program we offer a Day Pass to experience an immersive day of all things CRANK or try just a few hours of our professional skill coaching with a Coach Pass!

For those preparing for an upcoming NDIS Plan Review, we can support you with a Service Quote to ensure adequate funds are available for your next NDIS Plan.

The CRANK App is currently on the App Store and Google Play to download and supports our Crew, Coaches and partners to safely and effectively communicate any updates and progress notes as well as providing a safe space for our Crew to ask questions from wherever they feel most comfortable.

This app will become a platform for our Employer Partners and non-traditional jobseekers to connect and grow to overcome traditional barriers our Crew members experience in obtaining meaningful employment.
